Running of the Bulls
The world’s most famous bull-run, the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain is ane vent that involves people running among 6 Toro Bravo fighting bulls during the nine-day San Fermin Festival.
The origin of the bull-run dates back to the 14th century, when local Spaniards began honoring the passing of Saint Fermin, who was dragged to death by bulls. In his memory, participants began taking part in a feast day, an ancient fair, and a bull fighting event.
The Running of the Bulls is a half-mile course that winds through four cobblestone streets of the historic Spanish town. Once the bulls are released, runners travel with them and the bulls show no mercy to those who fall on the course. When the race is over, traditional bullfighting commences.
