Lyrids Meteor Showers

April 16 - April 25

The Lyrids is one of the oldest recorded meteor showers, created by debris from the comet Thatcher, which takes approximately 415 years to orbit the sun and is expected to be visible from Earth again in 2276.  The meteor shower is usually active between April 16th and 25th every year and tends to peak around the 22nd and 23rd.
